We’re growing a better world for people and the future
Chef Franchesca Nor is a visionary who is extremely passionate about food accessibility and making our planet a better place. For more than 13 years, her restaurant, Dive Coastal Cuisine, has been a beacon of clean eating and sustainability in Dallas. Since its inception, Dive has offered thoughtful, fresh, and healthy offerings for the on-the-go foodie. Now, she is bringing this passion to 4DWN, a local skate park dedicated to service and community, with the DiveDWN Future Farm.
A force for positive change
The DiveDWN Future Farm will enable Dive Coastal to sustainably source fresh produce for the restaurant, ensuring that customers know exactly where their food comes from. It will also serve as a hub for education, cultivation, and conservation.
Sustainability is the key to improving our restaurant, neighborhood, community, and planet
DiveDWN is a unique yet natural partnership – we are creating a hub where farmers, chefs, skateboarders, entrepreneurs and volunteers connect to address complex challenges. DiveDWN's sustainable farming and educational outreach reinforces 4DWN's steadfast dedication to providing access to healthy food for underserved communities in a closed-loop fashion.
Together, we create a formidable partnership that ignites transformative change on a larger scale, profoundly enriching the lives of communities and individuals alike.
How Dive x 4DWN Work Together
-
Plant Donations
Each box of groceries given to families every Sunday at 4DWN will come with a donation of a plant from DiveDWN, empowering families to grow their own food.
-
Education + Outreach
Our team will offer recipe cards, cooking classes and other educational workshops to help individuals learn more about nutrition and healthy eating.
-
Composting
Partner TURN to composts our restaurant’s food waste on-site, along with waste from residents and other organizations, which reduces the burden on our local landfill.
4DWN cultivates, circulates, and regenerates resources to benefit the community
4DWN is both an organization and facility, rooted in skateboarding culture, established by prominent skaters Mike Crum and Rob Cahill in 2015. Since then, it has evolved into a unique service-driven community and resilience hub serving the needs of hundreds of kids and families each week, creating upward mobility opportunities, and distributing thousands of pounds of healthy food in a closed-loop fashion.

We are dedicated to redefining urban agriculture through dynamic initiatives like DiveDWN Future Farm and the world's first Vertical Ramp Vertical Farm. However, our mission goes beyond food production. We have cultivated a service community to support local growers and grocers, reducing food waste. Each week, volunteers rescue thousands of pounds of surplus food, fostering connections among neighbors and uniting communities.

As a vital resource hub, 4DWN offers a safe haven for community gatherings and provides access to opportunities for underserved populations, particularly those facing food insecurity. Our Volunteer Food Distribution program, held every Wednesday and Sunday morning, ensures that hundreds of families receive nutritious groceries each week.

Our goal is to thrive, not just survive. We aim to nourish entire communities while benefiting the environment and fostering business growth. Through our on-site composting farm in collaboration with Turn, we produce nutrient-rich soil for cultivating delicious food and sequestering carbon. This innovative collaboration showcases our dedication to green business incubation.
